The Facilities Manager ensures that Microsoft's real estate assets are maintained, facilities are operated efficiently, and that service level expectations are met through effective vendor management of outsourced suppliersResponsibility1. Provide RE&F management support, service and expertise to the Microsoft sites in Norway. Use knowledge of Microsoft business needs and industry/ market trends to contribute recommendations and improve the design and delivery of RE&F services. 2. Partner with the local/country business managers to ensure that their facility needs are understood and being properly addressed. 3. Manage the ongoing, day-to-day facilities activities to ensure that agreed upon service levels are met by managing the regular activity of site services suppliers. This ongoing support includes managing, implementing, and monitoring business recovery plans, health and safety, security A/V, reception, mail and courier services, waste and cleaning, catering and beverage programs etc. In addition ensure a high level of communication and easy accessible RE&F information through local intranets. 4. Ensure that RE&F is in compliance with all statutory and reporting regulations and Microsoft policies and controls. Maintain stringent policies regarding data integrity. 5. Responsible for the development and management of operating budgets, project budgets and forecasts, and cost efficiency efforts. 6. Present service/ vendor recommendations to management, effectively communicating the business case and negotiating with key internal and external stakeholders based upon a thorough understanding of vendor capabilities and industry options. Participate in the vendor sourcing process; negotiate local vendor contracts, develop service transition plans, and manage the implications of operational changes. Maintain and appropriate and consistent level of vendor management. 7. Manage space management and ensure that all RE&F tools are updated at all times e.g. lease databases, space management tools and budget tools. 8. Manage small to medium fit-out projects associated with site expansion or relocations. 9. Prepare monthly RE&F status reports that measure progress against agreed upon initiatives, benefits, issues resolution and service levels. Monitor local facility management needs to anticipate future RE&F requirements and assess the external marketplace to identify improvement opportunities. 10. Promote continuous improvement in facilities management through effective process, methodology, and training. Identify and implement best practices within the local area to support the continuous improvement of the regional and global knowledge base and best practices.Skills/Requirements  • 5 years of experience in real estate, facilities management, construction management, or related field, ideally in the provision of facilities for management.• 2 - 3 years experience working with outsourced FM vendors Ability to provide regular, on-going feedback and input to the FM vendor resulting in a strong FM vendor performance.• Ability to develop SLA´s and KPI`S as well as manage according to agreed standards.• Experience in the Procurement and Contract negotiations is preferred.• B.A. or B.S. in Facilities Management or CFM.• Strong relationship skills; able to develop "trusted advisor" status with regional GM F&A and key business leaders in the organizations.• High energy and enthusiasm to effectively manage the local RE&F organization and service delivery function.• Analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities.• Strong communications skills (written and verbal – Norwegian and English).• Ability to motivate, influence, and gain regional team buy-in behind RE&F initiatives and strategies.  APPLY HERE
