Senior Systems Administrator - Windows   Company: FAST, a Microsoft subsidiary # of Positions: 1 Job Type: Full Time Location: Oslo, Norway  Department: Research and Development Category: Technical Salary: Commensurate With Experience Benefits: Full Benefits  Job Description  Responsibility for core Microsoft infrastructure and services, including project responsibilities.The Senior Systems Administrator position is organized in the Windows Server Team – reporting to the FAST Information Services Operations group (IS-OPS) in EMEA. The main objective for the department is to facilitate technical solutions for the benefit of our internal users but also to accommodate technical support to all FAST. The success and results is to a large extent dependent on the knowledge and professional standards of the IS-OPS group. The Windows Server Team is expected to contribute to the growth and success of the Company through passion for state-of-the-art technology, skillfulness and ability to effectively resolve challenges in a manner that leads to measurable value for our internal users and in turn for FAST as a whole.  In addition to own skills, performance and delivery, the Senior System Administrator will have to act as an expert to guide the accelerated delivery of IT solutions through the IS team globally. Planning, implementing, supporting and documenting infrastructure, servers, datacenter services, communication infrastructure and network services globally. The Senior System Administrator must work effectively with the Windows Server Team Lead to plan and coordinate tasks and projects.Maintain, manage and further develop existing services, systems and sub-systems. Security on and stability of existing and new systems is a key responsibility. The candidate will also be responsible for evaluation of new technologies and solutions. Interact with internal resources and provide specialist resources when appropriate. Be able to work effectively with a diversity of users in different countries and a variety of business areas.Communicate effectively across FAST departments to resolve any issue relating to areas of responsibility (require excellent communication skills and high degree of flexibility to cover many time zones)Take ownership for completeness, and make significant contributions in order for the team to reach its overall goals (team player abilities). Ability and dedication to understand each department’s requirements and aim for maximum value for both the users and FAST is expected.Ensure strong focus and take ownership for personal development and learning of self and others to achieve the expected performance goals. Effectively cooperate with and drive delivery through external partners and vendorsSkills/Requirements  -Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent, experience can be a substitute for formal education. -Minimum 4 years of experience in centralized management of distributed heterogeneous systems  -Expert knowledge within the MS Server product range including Windows Server, Exchange and SharePoint -Demonstrated successful technical support and integration skills   -Good communicator -Demonstrated ability to implement solutions through others  Type of Supervision requiredThe employee will receive training and supervision to fully master the role of Senior System Administrator, however, you are required to be easily motivated by the scope of the role and the opportunities herein and be very self-going.
